It's officially autumn in Portland, Oregon. Our weather report predicts rain for the next week.
Many folks that transplant their lives to Portland become disillusioned as fall slips into winter and our rainy season begins. As a native Oregonian, we're said to have webbed feet, don't use umbrellas and we love rain.
Personally, I do use my umbrellas but I also love the rain!
What's better than the sound of rain on a rooftop, the patter of rain on trees in the forest or a windy, crashing storm during the winter along the coast? Rain keeps our state fresh, clean and GREEN. Rain inhabits a variety of emotions...sometimes sadness but also solitude.
Reflection. Relaxation. Quiet.
My Etsy finds for today are inspired by the rain...

Thank you for visiting my blog! Very nice choices!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
I love your rain-inspired Etsy picks!
Wonderful selection of images! I quite agree about the rain, here in NW England we get lots of it and I do love it. City lights at night reflected in a wet pavement. Beautiful :)
Your blog is great and thanks for stopping by mine!
brilliant picks...and rain is awesome. I prefer warm rain, but cold rain isn't bad :)
I've found that since I moved away 2 years ago, I miss the rain more than anything. I lived there all my life, and I have a silent countdown to the day that I can go jump in puddles again.
Beautiful...just beautiful! - CT
Oh, I do my best thinking in the rain.
kersten: thanks for the compliments, and for listening to my playlist (some don't prefer musical blogs). Thanks, too, for choosing to follow along on our photo adventures--will check you out soon at your blog!
jewelstreet: Thanks--they are all so great; hard to choose just one to like!
newenglandquilter: Snow...we've got it in the mountains but it doesn't come to town often we're so close to sea level at only 41 blocks off the river. At least the rain keeps the temp up. :0)
all wired & april: Thanks, ladies and you're welcome...enjoyed your blogs!
francesca: Thanks for choosing to follow us; liked your blog, too!
mayhem: Yes, warm rain is best, but cold is okay as long as I'm not out in it, ha! :0)
christopher&tia: Come back anytime...the rain will be happy you did!
ct: They sure are...all of 'em!
sherry: Sometimes I do, too. Especially at night when it's quiet. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note!
